Emo [29] AD 1218

Towards the evening we arrived at the north coast of Crete; all night we had a favourable wind, and on the second day, towards the evening, we reached the city of Kandia * where we were accurately instructed, by the guards of the island, of the stars and the wind directions we had to follow to get in Akko.

After sunset we left the harbour, and because the winds and the sea were favourable beyond our expectations, on the seventh day, the day after the feast of Mark the Evangelist (April 26) we sailed joyfully into the port of Akko.
